Our agency was founded in the mid 1890's by James W. Asbury at 108 West State Street in O'Fallon, Illinois. His son, Earl E. Asbury, took over operation of the agency in 1917. Upon Earl's death, his widow, Josephine, ran the agency until she sold it to Mose R. Eckert in 1940. He moved the agency across the street to the First National Bank Building in 1942.
Russ Warma (1920-1995) purchased the Mose R. Eckert Agency in 1972 and operated until 1976 as the Eckert Agency. Russ and Dave Witter formed the Warma-Witter Insurance Agency in 1976 and moved to the current location at 109 West First Street. Warma retired in May of 1982.
John Kreisler (1947-2012) started his insurance career in 1970 as a claims adjuster for Farmers Insurance. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a defense attorney liaison for litigated claims. In 1973, he moved to the agency side of that company and opened the Kreisler-Wilson Agency at 5111 West Main St. in Belleville, Illinois. In February 1979 John E. Kreisler joined the Warma-Witter insurance Agency to form Warma-Witter-Kreisler & Associates, Inc.
